Lady Antebellum, Eminem Are AMA's Top Nominees

Trio's Five Nominations Include Favorite Band, Duo or Group

Lady Antebellum received five nominations to tie with Eminem as the top nominees for the 2010 American Music Awards. The announcement was made Tuesday (Oct. 12) in Los Angeles.

In addition to their country nominations, Lady Antebellum are alongside Black Eyed Peas and Train in the all-genre category for favorite band, duo or group. They also share a favorite artist nomination in the adult contemporary category with Michael Bublé and Train. They're also among a field of eight for breakthrough artist of the year.

In the country division, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Brad Paisley are nominated for favorite male artist. Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood are up for favorite female artist. Favorite band, duo or group nominations went to the Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts. The favorite album nominees are Aldean's Wide Open, Lady Antebellum's Need You Now and Underwood's Play On.

No country acts were nominated for overall artist of the year. The list consists of Justin Bieber, Eminem, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

ABC will broadcast the fan-voted awards show live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Nov. 21.
