In related news, Country Music Hall of Fame member Charley Pride, who resides in Dallas, is among the group of 18 owners who bought the Texas Rangers earlier this year. In the ’50s, Pride was a pitcher and outfielder for the Birmingham Black Barons and the Memphis Red Sox.
