CMT's first sitcom, Working Class, has added Ed Asner to its cast. The 12-episode series will begin filming on Tuesday (Oct. 19) in Los Angeles, with a premiere in January 2011. Melissa Peterman stars in Working Class as Carli Mitchell, a single, blue-collar mom who hopes to bring her three kids into a better life by moving to a rich, suburban neighborhood. Asner plays Hank Grezniak, a Korean War veteran and her curmudgeon of a neighbor, who also works at the same grocery store as Carli. Additional cast members include Steve Kazee as Carli's brother, Patrick Fabian as Carli's boss and Lachlan Buchanan, Courtney Merritt and Cameron Castaneda as Carli's children.
