Chess Cake

1 cup butter, melted
1 pound confectioners’ sugar
1 cup sugar
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking flour
¼ teaspoon salt
4 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 325°.

Grease and flour a 9×13 casserole. Melt butter and cool. Add sugars and egg yolks to butter. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and stir into egg and butter mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add vanilla. Fold whites into batter. Pour batter into pan. Bake 35-45 minutes or until done.
