Garth Brooks' Vegas Ticket Prices Increased by Wynn Las Vegas

Garth Brooks' next series of solo concert dates at the Wynn Las Vegas have been announced, and the owner of the casino and resort has raised ticket prices to $225. With a service charge and tax, each ticket will cost a total of $253. Tickets were priced at $125 (plus service charge and tax) when Brooks began his solo show at the Wynn's Encore Theater last year. "My decision to raise the ticket price was a simple one," Steve Wynn said in a press release. "The demand for Garth was so overwhelming that it caught us by surprise. We could fill a theater many times the size of this, twice a night. The contact with Garth Brooks in the Encore Theater is the equivalent of being in his living room. When the greatest live performer of our time appears in such an intimate theater, the seats should be priced at least competitively with other great Las Vegas entertainers. In terms of value, I believe that Garth Brooks is still under-priced and represents the greatest entertainment value in modern Las Vegas." In the press release, Brooks said, "I am flattered Steve Wynn believes in me as an entertainer and my deal with him is not affected by ticket price. My only concern is the audience. Right now, the Vegas audiences are some of the best I have ever played for, and I'd hate to see that change for whatever reason." His next concerts at the Wynn are set for Dec. 3-5, Jan. 21-23, Feb. 11-13 and Feb. 25-27. Brooks will perform nine concerts in Nashville with his entire band to raise money for flood relief efforts in Middle Tennessee. Tickets for the Nashville dates were priced at $25 (plus service charge). All tickets were sold when they went on sale.
