Kid Rock has planned a tour following this week’s release of his new album, Born Free, with Jamey Johnson as his opening act. Kid Rock will launch the first leg of the tour on Jan. 15 — two days before his 40th birthday — at Detroit’s Ford Field. The tour has performances scheduled through March 12, mostly in the South and Midwest. In addition, he will play his latest single, “Born Free” during the New England Patriots/Detroit Lions game at Ford Field on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 25). He will be joined on the field by about 1,000 fans, members of the National Guard and their families.
