Kenny Chesney’s next stadium concert near Boston is nine months away, but the show sold out in eight minutes when tickets went on sale Saturday (Nov. 20). The Aug. 27 show at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, is one of nine stadium concerts Chesney will perform next year with the Zac Brown Band and Billy Currington. It marks the sixth time Chesney has sold out the stadium in Foxboro, Mass. Almost 60,000 tickets were sold to each of his previous shows at the venue. “The love affair I share with the fans in New England is like no other, and that has been built over the years,” he said. “I can’t wait to see their faces and spend an evening with them next summer. It’s gonna feel like coming home.” Chesney curtailed his touring schedule in 2010 while working on the release of a concert film (Kenny Chesney: Summer In 3-D), a football documentary (Boys of Fall) and a new album (Hemingway’s Whiskey).
