Jerrod Niemann Plans Hometown Concert for Jan. 15

Jerrod Niemann has planned a hometown concert in Liberal, Kan., on Jan. 15. He will perform in conjunction with the Liberal Booster Club Country Music Showdown at Liberal High School, according to the local newspaper, The Southwest Times. Niemann graduated from the school in 1997 and attended South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. He moved to Nashville in 2000 to pursue a music career and scored a No. 1 hit, “Lover, Lover,” earlier this year. His current single is “What Do You Want.” “Anytime I am back, no matter what I had going on, everybody has always been there for me,” Niemann told the newspaper. “That is always something neat to say about your hometown. No matter where I am in the country, I know there is a small town in southwest Kansas that is there for me. At the end of the day, if I need somewhere to go, I have a place that is home. That’s Liberal, Kan.”
