OFFSTAGE: Zac Brown Band Super-Serves the Fans

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

You can hear Zac Brown Band’s passion for music about five seconds into every one of their songs — but Brown’s passion for cooking? To hear about that, you’d have to snag an invite to have dinner with him. Or you can listen to what he said to when they caught up with him in the kitchen behind the scenes at the CMT Artists of the Year event. In between all of Brown’s “Yes, ma’ams,” you can hear him say things like, “Everybody in my family cooks, so if I was gonna spend time with everybody, it was helping in the kitchen.” And when he talks about the 53-foot tractor-trailer he’s built that is basically a kitchen on wheels, you know that he means it when he says he wants to give the concert crowd the ability to eat amazing food and see a four-hour show. “It’s our step towards super-serving the fans,” said Brown.
