Kellie Pickler Marries on New Year’s Day

Kellie Pickler and songwriter Kyle Jacobs have announced that they married on New Year’s Day on a private island in the Caribbean. The couple met in 2008 and became engaged on June 15, 2010, on a Florida beach vacation. A spokesman for Pickler’s label, Sony Music, said Pickler and Jacobs were “married in an intimate ceremony.” A finalist on American Idol in 2006, Pickler’s country hits include “Red High Heels,” “I Wonder” and “Best Days of Your Life.” Jacobs’ songwriting credits include Garth Brooks’ “More Than a Memory” and Tim McGraw’s “Still,” as well as cuts by Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, Craig Morgan and Clay Walker, among others.
