Charlie Daniels’ Barn Destroyed by Fire

A Friday evening (Jan. 7) fire destroyed a barn at Charlie Daniels’ farm near the Nashville suburb of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. A spokesperson for the entertainer said the main barn on the property burned to the ground, but there was no damage to Daniels’ house and no one was injured. Daniels and his wife Hazel were on a ski trip to Colorado when the fire occurred. The blaze destroyed farm equipment and a kitchen stove that was a gift from the late Roy Acuff. The stove was previously on display at Acuff’s museum.
