The Country Throwdown tour will return for its second year with headliner Willie Nelson on all dates. The multi-stage tour, billed as Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown Tour 2011, will launch May 27 in Philadelphia. The tour is scheduled through July 4, although the location for that show has not yet been announced. More concerts are expected to be added in the future, according to 4 FINI Inc., the festival’s producers. Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, Craig Campbell and Brantley Gilbert, as well as six singer-songwriters in the Bluebird Café tent, are also part of the musical lineup. Presale tickets will be available on Feb. 11, with tickets to the general public available on Feb. 18. Last year, the festival canceled numerous dates due to low ticket sales and competition from other country tours. Nelson was not involved in the 2010 tour.
