The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame's Tennessean of the Year award belongs to Kenny Chesney because he is someone who has made "significant contributions to our society through sports or other methods, demonstrating strong character and high profile leadership." (That's how they determine the honoree.) Country stars Barbara Mandrell, Vince Gill and Hank Williams Jr. have had the honor in past years. And now it's Chesney's turn. His award makes perfect sense after he devoted so much of his time singing about football ("The Boys of Fall") and then making two ESPN documentaries about the love of the game. But it sounds like he doesn't feel as passionate about the Super Bowl as he did last year when the New Orleans Saints were in it. "I'm gonna watch the game at home, I think, with just some friends and family," Chesney said in a recent radio interview. "And we're just gonna maybe cook some chili and sit and watch it like everybody else."
