OFFSTAGE: Super Bowl Thoughts From The Band Perry and Faith Hill

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

The Green Bay Packers will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Sunday’s (Feb. 6) Super Bowl. But if you look at the game through country music glasses, it’s kind of like Faith Hill vs. The Band Perry. Because Hill recently told CMT Radio she is a “go, Pack, go” kind of girl. “I think it’s gonna be a great game, and I think it’s gonna be a close game. But I think the Packers are gonna win,” she said. (She also admitted that the TV commercials are some of the best parts of the game, and I whole heartedly agree.) And then on the Steelers’ side, you have Kimberly Perry from The Band Perry, because they have some history together. “We actually got to sing the national anthem at a Steelers game this year. It happened to be one that they lost, so I’m not sure that The Band Perry are like a good luck charm,” Perry said. “But, you know, we’re going to go for the Steelers because we got to meet a few of those guys.” Who are you betting on to win the big game?
