Del McCoury Band has partnered with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band for an album and tour later this year, exploring the musical territory where bluegrass and jazz meet. The bluegrass ensemble worked with the traditional jazz group last year to benefit New Orleans' historic Preservation Hall and its music outreach program. The two bands will release a collaborative 12-song album, American Legacies, on April 12 through their record labels. A joint tour, with the bands performing on their own and together, is also planned.
