OFFSTAGE: The Band Perry Longs for Friday Night Lights Love

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Money can’t buy you love. But sometimes I wonder if fame can. Kimberly Perry of the wildly-popular The Band Perry, has admitted that if it was up to her, she’d have cast Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins from the Friday Night Lights TV series) in one of her videos. And why shouldn’t she? They’d look great together. “If we’re talking hottest celebrity, that would be Taylor Kitsch,” she told CMT Radio of her co-star wish list. “I mean maybe if we could just keep working really hard, one of these days, that dream will come true. Just for the video. And not in real life. Or in real life.” Kimberly’s brother, Neil, says she’s been trying to get Kitsch — a former Abercrombie & Fitch model — in every video. I’m sure he’d love to do it. Her people should call his people. I don’t know what The Band Perry’s next single will be, but I could totally picture Kitsch and Perry at a county fair in a video for “Walk Me Down the Middle.”
