OFFSTAGE: Sara Evans' 40th Birthday Dance-Off

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Sara Evans' first album in six years, Stronger, is out today (March 8). And she told CMT Radio that everything in her life feels brand new right now. "My home, my outlook on life, my confidence -- I feel like I'm kind of starting a second chapter of my career that I feel is going to be the best ever," she said. And she admitted to having quite a party on her 40th birthday in February. "There were a few dance-offs," she said. "I danced the entire night ... so I just went to bed feeling great. I was just exhausted." As for her new album, some of my favorite songs include "Alone" ("Sometimes loving me just means leaving me alone"), "What That Drink Cost Me" ("I lost a good man to a bad habit/He didn't love the whiskey/He just had to have it") and her new and improved Dobro-rich remake of her hit "Born to Fly." She'll be on Good Morning America on Wednesday (March 9).
