OFFSTAGE: Miranda Lambert: Mason Jars Through the Years

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Remember Miranda Lambert's debut single from 2004, "Me and Charlie Talking"? The one where she sings about treating love like a firefly -- like it only gets to shine for a little while -- and catching it in a Mason jar? Well, look at her now. Drinking out of those Mason jars with her fiancé Blake Shelton at their engagement party. It's in the April issue of Redbook magazine, where she talks about everything from what marriage means to her ("It's someone who always has your back. And it makes me want to be a better woman so I can be that for Blake. Forever.") and how the onstage Miranda is different from the everyday Miranda ("In my everyday life, I'm pretty normal. But I love the moments when I can get onstage and headbang and freak out and smash my guitar and all that, too."). She also admits she's grateful nobody has ever tried to make her something she's not. Which might mean that her bridal registry has more Mason jars than Waterford champagne flutes.
