Loretta Lynn Schedules Surgery, Delays Shows

Loretta Lynn is scheduled to undergo surgery for torn cartilage in her knee, forcing her to reschedule tour dates through March 29. On her website, Lynn writes, “It ain’t no big deal!! They say I will be in and out of the hospital in a couple hours! But I won’t be walking so good for a couple weeks!” Lynn is due to participate in the Girls’ Night Out: Superstar Women of Country taping in Las Vegas on April 4. Her updated version of “Coal Miner’s Daughter” with Sheryl Crow and Miranda Lambert is nominated for an ACM award this year in the vocal event category.
