Carrie Underwood and champion surfer Bethany Hamilton were among those attending Wednesday night’s (March 30) premiere of the new film, Soul Surfer, at the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood. The film is about Hamilton, who returned to surf competition just one month after losing her left arm when she was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark in 2003. Actress AnnaSophia Robb portrays Hamilton in the film that also stars Underwood as Sarah Hill, a church youth group leader who provided encouragement to Hamilton following the attack. Joining Underwood and Robb at the premiere were cast members Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid and Lorraine Nicholson and director Sean McNamara. View photos from the premiere.
