Craig Morgan has signed a recording contract with Black River Entertainment after exiting Sony Music earlier this year. He began his career at Atlantic Records but moved to the Broken Bow label after Atlantic closed its country division. At Broken Bow, he scored several Top 10 singles, including “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Almost Home” and “A Little Bit of Life,” and hit No. 1 with “That’s What I Love About Sunday.” He moved to Sony Music’s BNA label in 2008 and landed the Top 10 hits “Love Remembers” and “Bonfire.” Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry and Chuck Wicks are among the other artists who have recently departed Sony. Black River’s roster includes Jeff Bates, Sarah Darling and Due West.
