Jennette McCurdy, the iCarly actress who is embarking on a country career, raised $139,643 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on a nationwide mall tour. McCurdy, who exceeded her goal of raising $100,000 for the charity, wrapped the tour on April 14. "What a great few weeks this has been, being able to play for so many great fans that came out to the shows," she said. "What made it even better was the opportunity to partner with St. Jude and not only bring awareness to their life-changing facility but also raise money to help the patients that come through their doors. I'm proud and honored to be associated with St. Jude and their amazing cause!" McCurdy's new video, "Generation Love," debuted on CMT on Friday (April 22). Her debut album is expected in the fall.
