Jerrod Niemann and singer-songwriter duo the Civil Wars capped a night of eclectic music at the Grammy Block Party in Nashville on Tuesday evening (May 10). Presented by the Recording Academy, the concert was held in Owen Bradley Park on Music Row and open to Grammy members and their guests. The academy’s charitable organization, MusiCares, announced that more than $1 million has been donated to flood victims since last May. NasH20, another flood-relief organization, then presented a check to MusiCares for $26,000. The money was raised through the auction of flood-damaged guitars provided by artists like Vince Gill, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. Laura Bell Bundy, hip-hop artist Chancellor Warhol, jazz guitarist Denny Jiosa, Old Crow Medicine Show and Christian rockers Royal Tailor also performed at the event.
