Aaron Lewis Shifts to Newly-Formed R&J Records

Aaron Lewis, the lead singer of Staind who released his first country album in March, has shifted to a new label. Lewis is now on the roster of R&J Records, a new venture launched by Nashville music producer James Stroud and business partner Rick Carter of Gulfport, Miss. Lewis is among the artists migrating from Stroudavarious Records, an independent label established in 2008 with financial ties to Alabama businessman Ronnie Gilley. According to a press release issued Tuesday (May 17), “The launch of R&J Records marks the culmination of protracted negotiations that end Stroud’s working relationship with Stroudavarious LLC and all of its related entities.” Other artists on the R&J Records roster include LoCash Cowboys, Margaret Durante, Andy Gibson, Rob Lane and Alexa Carter.
