OFFSTAGE: And the Bridesmaids Wore Cowboy Boots

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

If I told you there was a wedding in Texas and that all 15 members of the bridal party wore vintage Durango boots, you’d know whose wedding that was, right? Especially if I told you the barn/chapel was decorated with glass lanterns, honeysuckle, peonies, bluebonnets, twigs, antique chairs and pews from a Tennessee church. And that the chandeliers at the reception were made from antlers. And that the buffet had everything from corn pudding and venison quesadillas to mini cakes in shot glasses. And that the bride and groom’s first dance was to Neal McCoy‘s live performance of “No Doubt About It.” And that the newlyweds didn’t leave the reception until 2:30 a.m. That could only be the wedding of one couple: Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. The couple let Us Weekly into their big day and night, and you can see all the photos in the issue that hit newsstands Thursday (May 19). The magazine even got down to the important questions that usually come after a wedding. And the couple says there will be no honeymoon yet. And no babies yet. But a honeymoon baby eventually? Let’s hope so.
