This is skin doodling at its finest. At Taylor Swift’s Speak Now rehearsal show on May 21, she was wearing a sleeve of hand-drawn lyrics on her left arm. The writing started at her shoulder and said, “You’ve got every right to a beautiful life,” with the last word resting on her forearm. It turns out it was a line from her pal Selena Gomez’ song, “Who Says.” What I find so interesting is that the Gomez song sounds like it could be a Swift song. In fact, it sounds like a poppier version of Swift’s hit, “Mean.” Some of the lyrics say things like, “You made me insecure, told me I wasn’t good enough” and “Who says, who says you’re not perfect/Who says you’re not worth it.” Gomez, who plays Alex on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, kicks off her tour in July and it makes you wonder which Swift lyrics she will draw on her own arm. But the trend may not be confined to the girlfriends. At Swift’s show in Omaha over the weekend, her left arm was full of lyrics from “Keep Your Head Up” by Andy Grammer: “You gotta keep your head up but you can let your hair down.” Any guesses on what her arm will say next?
