Toby Keith’s Bluebird Café Show Raises $20,000

Toby Keith’s acoustic concert at the Bluebird Café in Nashville on Tuesday night (June 28) raised $20,000 for the Nashville venue that showcases songwriters. Keith performed in the round with fellow songwriters Scotty Emerick and Bobby Pinson for nearly three hours. To reach the grand total, Keith autographed two Takamine guitars and auctioned them for $5,000 each. “God blessed me to be a songwriter first and foremost,” he said. “I remember going to writer’s night at the Bluebird. It’s great to have a place for songwriters to showcase their songs. It can open a door that just makes a song fly. Just one moment of inspiration and you’re off. Nashville needs to keep the Bluebird alive and thriving.” Keith launched his Locked & Loaded tour on Thursday night (June 30) in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. His latest single is “Made in America.”
