Ricky Skaggs' Country Hits Bluegrass Style leads the list of country-related independent albums released on Tuesday (July 19). Skaggs' album features 14 bluegrass updates of his country hits from the 1980s, such as "Crying My Heart Out Over You" and "I Don't Care." Other new independent releases include Austin roots-rock band Back Porch Mary's Life Is Now, singer-songwriter Angela Easterling's Beguiler, old-time swing band Pokey LaFarge & the South City Three's Middle of Everywhere, eclectic songwriter Amy LaVere's Stranger Me, Irish rockabilly star Imelda May's Mayhem, veteran roots band NRBQ's Keep This Love Goin', Texas performer Rich O'Toole's Kiss of a Liar and Southern singer-songwriter Stephen Simmons' The Big Show.
