OFFSTAGE: How Zac Brown Keeps Himself Invisible

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

See that guy on the Harley-Davidson, zooming around the parking lot while you’re tailgating before a concert? I’m pretty sure that’s Zac Brown. It’s all part of this new plan he’s hatched where he can be part of that experience without getting recognized by fans. And it’s all about the helmet. “I absolutely love being on a motorcycle,” he said in a recent radio interview. “In a helmet, nobody knows who I am. I can ride right through the tailgating with a helmet on, and it’s just like you’re invisible. I can observe firsthand what’s going on at our shows and at these Kenny shows and these things and get to see it. … I just get out and ride around the tailgating. There’s no other way to do it.” There actually are other ways to do it (for instance, I remember watching Taylor Swift put on a brunette wig once so she could go watch Blake Shelton’s set), but I’m thinking a helmet’s a better look for Brown.
