The Eli Young Band‘s “Crazy Girl” has been certified gold by the RIAA for sales of more than 500,000 downloads. Written by Lee Brice and Liz Rose, it’s the Texas-based band’s first gold single. During the past two weeks, more than 40,000 downloads have been sold per week to push the sales total to almost 600,000 downloads. “Crazy Girl” debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes country singles chart and has ascended to No. 20 on Billboard‘s country songs chart. It’s the first single from the group’s new Republic Nashville album, Life at Best, set for release on Aug. 16.
