Jennifer Lopez will return as a judge on the 11th season of American Idol, according to producer Nigel Lythgoe. She will join Randy Jackson (one of the original judges), Steven Tyler, (who had already committed to judge for two seasons) and host Ryan Seacrest. “I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol, are back for the next season,” Lythgoe said on Seacrest’s radio show on Wednesday (Aug. 10). Lopez will earn $20 million for the season, up from $12 million, according to TheWrap.com, which covers the entertainment business. The top two finalists of season 10 — winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina — are both pursuing careers in country music.
