Vince Gill will release a new album, Guitar Slinger, on Oct. 25 on MCA Nashville. He wrote the title track about his courtship with Amy Grant, who later became his wife. The lead single, “Threaten Me With Heaven,” was co-written with Grant, Dillon O’Brian and the late Will Owsley. Grant and Gill also wrote “True Love,” which features Grant and her daughter, Sarah Chapman, on vocals. Gill’s daughters Jenny and Corinna also harmonize on the album which was completely recorded in Gill’s home studio. His other songwriting partners on the album include Ashley Monroe, Leslie Satcher and Pete Wasner. Gill’s previous album, the Grammy-winning These Days, was released in 2006.
