Alan Jackson Will Perform 9/11 Concert in Washington, D.C.

Alan Jackson will perform at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 11 to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. R&B singer Patti LaBelle and mezzo soprano Denyce Graves will also sing at “A Concert for Hope,” airing live on numerous ABC affiliates. In the days following the 9/11 tragedy, the National Cathedral served as a sacred national gathering place for mourning, reflection and prayer. Jackson premiered his original song about 9/11, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),” on the 2001 CMA Awards in Nashville.
