OFFSTAGE: Let's Find Hillary Scott a Wedding Dress

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott claims she's doing the big things to plan her upcoming wedding. But then she admits she hasn't found a dress yet. That is the big thing, once you've found the fiancé. Granted, she's been busy with all the band's skyrocketing success, and she's about to get even busier once their next album, Own the Night, is released on Sept. 13. "I've met the wedding planner a lot. But going into this album and the tour, it will definitely still be something that I'm working on. But I tried to get a lot of the big decisions out of the way before all this is picked up. I haven't gotten my dress yet. I'm starting to kinda stress about that," she said in a recent radio interview. So should we all help her find the perfect dress? When I was dress-obsessed a hundred years ago, Sak's Fifth Avenue was the place to go. But Scott is a celeb, so maybe she could just go straight to the designers. The Monique Lhuillier bridal line for 2012 is gorgeous. I could see Scott in this simple one-shoulder gown. But this Reem Acra strapless one is elegant and classy, too. And while so many brides think Vera Wang is to go-to girl for a gown, this one featured in Wang's Vera Unveiled blog is, um, a lot of wedding dress. It's described as "Guipure lace build-up ballgown with swirling honey comb tulle and horsehair confection skirt." Because so many girls are dreaming about a horsehair wedding dress? Whatever Scott wears when she ties the knot with Chris Tyrell, the touring drummer for Edens Edge, she will shine. I'm sure of it.
