Jewel had her baby boy on July 11, and People finally has the first glimpses of him. He's a teeny tiny cutie, that's for sure. But his name? That is huge. It is Kase Townes Murray. So with a name like that, I have to think he's destined to be either a rodeo star or a country singer, right? Here's the story behind the name. Kase is for the best friend of Jewel's husband, Ty Murray, and Townes comes from one of Jewel's favorite singer-songwriters, Townes Van Zandt. Murray told People he likes one syllable names, and Jewel admitted, "It's a strong name. We like it." Murray himself is a real live rodeo cowboy, and says he can't wait for Baby Kase to get out on the ranch with him, but he may not be ready to have his son join him on the Professional Bull Riders circuit. "Jewel and I have to remember he is his own little person, and it's all for him to figure out," he said. "Our job is to enjoy what his little journey is, not fret over it." Then again, Murray says on his own website, "I have loved the cowboy life -- everything about it -- since the day I was born." And, seriously, how can you not want to slap a pair of these Small in the Saddle baby chaps on Kase?
