9,432 people like this. But I’d be willing to bet that members of Tim McGraw’s touring band, the Dancehall Doctors, aren’t necessarily among them. The fate of his longtime band is unclear, even though controversial rumors are swirling about the group possibly disbanding. But all we really know so far, and for sure, is that he posted this message on his Facebook wall last week. “As some of you might know, there have been some recent changes in my band. Change can be hard, and it’s not something you come to lightly,” he wrote. “I couldn’t be more proud of the music we’ve created together over the years, and I’ll treasure the memories. I know you will join me in wishing everyone only the best in their future endeavors. Thanks for all the unwavering support you’ve shown me over the years, and I can’t wait to continue our journey. … See you all soon!” Now, you could try to read between those lines to figure out just which of the doctors he’s talking about. But it’s not easy. As far as I know, all of his band members have been with him since 1996 or earlier. And they always seem like a tight-knit and very loyal group, but personnel changes are not uncommon among touring musicians. So I say we just wish them all the best and cross our fingers that the music McGraw makes without the full set of Dancehall Doctors is as good as what he’s been making since they started.
