Jason Aldean Raises $315,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research

Jason Aldean's sixth annual Concert for the Cure raised $315,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure in its fight against breast cancer. He sold out Friday night's (Sept. 30) concert at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, Va., and donated all profits to the charity. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. "This is one of my favorite things we do all year, and taking it on the road to other cities has been huge in helping us bring in more money for Komen," Aldean said. "All of the money we raised will go to the local Roanoke effort, allowing them to give free mammograms to those who can't afford it. We'll pick a different spot for next year and try to beat it. October is a big month for raising money and awareness, and I have to thank my fans for doing their part. Seeing an arena filled with pink is just a really cool thing!"
