Stars Shine at 'Footloose' Premiere

Film Opens in Theaters Nationally on Oct. 14

Julianne Hough, Blake Shelton, American Idol finalist Lauren Alaina, Trace Adkins and Big & Rich were among those showing up for Thursday night's (Oct. 6) Nashville-area premiere of the new film, Footloose.

Hough and Kenny Wormald star in the remake of the 1984 film that starred Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer. Also joining Hough and Wormald during the premiere at the Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tenn., were the film's writer-director, Craig Brewer, who also directed Hustle & Flow and Black Snake Moan.

Shelton sings the song's title track, the same song performed by Kenny Loggins in the original film. Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson provide a new song, "Fake I.D." Ella Mae Bowen, Whitney Duncan, Hunter Hayes and actress Jana Kramer, who perform songs in the soundtrack, also attended the Tennessee premiere.

Afterwards, Big & Rich performed during a private party at the Factory in Franklin.

The film premiered Monday in Los Angeles and will be released nationally on Oct. 14.
