Luke Bryan, Eric Church Earn Gold Albums

Luke Bryan and Eric Church reached gold status this month for their latest albums. Bryan’s Tailgates & Tanlines and Church’s Chief have been certified for shipments of 500,000 copies each. Both artists are on the Capitol Nashville roster. Labelmate Keith Urban presented Church his gold album at their Thursday night (Oct. 13) concert in Milwaukee. In other certifications, Jamey Johnson’s 2008 album, That Lonesome Song, reached platinum status this month for 1 million shipments. Meanwhile, George Strait’s 2008 single, “I Saw God Today,” has been certified gold for 500,000 digital downloads. As previously reported, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood’s “Remind Me” was certified as a platinum single for 1 million digital downloads.
