White House Hosts Country Stars for PBS Special

Country stars including The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley and Alison Krauss will visit Washington, D.C., on Monday (Nov. 21) to tape a PBS special, Country Music: In Performance at the White House. Hosted by President Obama and the first lady, the special will air Wednesday on PBS. In addition, the concert will stream live Monday at 7 p.m. ET at whitehouse.gov/live. Lauren Alaina, Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Lovett, Darius Rucker, James Taylor and new artist Mickey will also take part in the special. Earlier in the day, several of the artists will meet with 120 local students during a workshop about country music.
