Scotty McCreery's 'Clear as Day' Recaptures Album Peak

Zac Brown Band's "Keep Me in Mind" Is Top Country Song

Scotty McCreery is in the saddle again this week as his Clear as Day springs back to No. 1 on Billboard's country albums chart. His total sales to date, Nielsen SoundScan reports, approaches 700,000 copies.

Striding into the top song spot after a 17-week march is the Zac Brown Band's "Keep Me in Mind".

It's hardly cause for major celebration -- particularly considering this is the height of Christmas shopping season -- but album sales are a bit better than they were last week. They're up by just over 93,000 copies for the 75 titles listed.

There are no new albums on the chart, just these three returnees: Kristin Chenoweth's Lessons Learned (back at No. 72), Toby Keith's Bullets in the Gun (No. 73) and the Casey Donahew Band's Double-Wide Dream (No. 74).

But take heart, music lovers. You have six new songs to savor, the highest-debuting of which is Josh Thompson's "Comin' Around" at No. 51.

Parading behind him are Tim McGraw's "Christmas All Over the World" (No. 54), Jake Owen's Hawaiian-tinged seasonal, "Mele Kalikimaka" (No. 55), Lady Antebellum's "Dancin' Away With My Heart" (No. 57), Katie Armiger's "Scream" (No. 59) and the Eli Young Band's "Even if It Breaks Your Heart" (No. 60).

The No. 2 through No. 5 albums are Lady Antebellum's Own the Night (last week's No. 1), Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party, Taylor Swift's Speak Now: World Tour Live and Keith's Clancy's Tavern, in that order.

Rounding out the Top 5 songs cluster are Aldean's "Tattoos on This Town," Lady A's "We Owned the Night" (last week's No. 1), Rascal Flatts' "Easy featuring Natasha Bedingfield" and David Nail's "Let It Rain."

The Band Perry claim the highest-charting Christmas song this week as its "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" ho-ho-ho's it up to No. 50.
