OFFSTAGE: Faith Hill’s Oatmeal and Glitter Tradition

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Santa’s hardest workers, that’s who is eating all the oatmeal and glitter at Faith Hill and Tim McGraw‘s house. Hill and her three daughters make reindeer food on Christmas Eve. “We make it with oatmeal and glitter so the reindeer will be fed, and they also can see our house because the glitter will shine up through the stars,” she laughed when she revealed her holiday tradition in a recent radio interview. “So, the reindeer come down and land in the front yard, sometimes on the roof, depending on where we are. And each time, it’s amazing. They have left one of their bells behind off of the reindeer sled. Isn’t that remarkable?” I just hope what Santa Claus brings Hill for Christmas is a release date for her new album.
