OFFSTAGE: Is a Miranda Lambert/Blake Shelton Tour Coming Soon?

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

This would be like Soul2Soul, only sassier. That’s how I think of the inevitable and eventual Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton tour. That it could and will be such an enormous fan favorite, much like the husband-wife tour Tim McGraw and Faith Hill did in 2000, 2006 and 2007. In a recent newspaper interview , Lambert said a tour like that wasn’t going to happen soon because both she and her husband are both focusing on their individual careers for now. But she also said, “Maybe someday.” And that’s all I need to hear — that there is a glimmer of hope and that it’s not out of the question. If Lambert and Shelton were to use the Soul2Soul tour as a guideline — and who wouldn’t want to when you consider how massively successful it was — then we may have to wait a few more years. When McGraw and Hill combined forces for that first tour, they’d been married for about three and a-half years, and McGraw had had five albums out and Hill had released four. So, 2014 then?
