Early ACM Wins Go to Toby Keith, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson

Toby Keith’s “Red Solo Cup” video and Jason Aldean’s collaboration with Kelly Clarkson were among the early winners Sunday (April 1) at the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. Producer Mark Kalbfeld and director Michael Salomon shared the video of the year award with Keith. The vocal event of the year award went to Aldean, Clarkson and producer Michael Knox for “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” The awards were presented on the red carpet prior to the CBS telecast. As reported earlier, Thompson Square accepted the ACM’s vocal duo award during a concert Saturday night. Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton are co-hosting the awards show from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
