OFFSTAGE: Top 20 Songs to Take Me “Way Down Here”

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

I could probably do this with Kenny Chesney songs alone. He, of course, has cornered the market on songs about beaches and water and boats and tropical drinks and so on. Songs that I am taking with me on a vacation all the way down to the islands of Turks and Caicos. (I’m literally going to fly until the map turns blue, to kind of quote Brad Paisley.) I’m sure the fine people at the resort will provide plenty of exotic poolside music, but I’m more of a BYOM (bring your own music) kind of girl. So here’s what I’m packing, and if you have some songs you think I should add, please say so. There’s always room for more.
