Bonnie Raitt will be presented the Americana Music Association’s lifetime achievement award for performance during the organization’s 11th annual awards show set for Sept. 12 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Previous honorees include Gregg Allman, Emmylou Harris, Wanda Jackson, Chris Hillman and the late Levon Helm, among others. Earlier in the day, Raitt will participate in the keynote interview at the Americana Music Festival and Conference. The interview will be conducted by NPR Music’s Ann Powers. Raitt’s latest album, Slipstream, was released April 10. The 13th annual festival and conference takes place Sept. 12-15.
