Eric Church is scheduled to resume his tour Thursday (May 3) in Springfield, Mo., for his first performance since an illness forced him to cancel a concert last weekend. Church had been scheduled to play in Bloomington, Ill., on Sunday (April 29) but announced his cancellation on the night of the concert.
“I’m so disappointed,” he wrote on his website. “I apologize to everybody for having to cancel tonight’s show. I’ve played shows with injuries before but unfortunately cannot overcome having no voice. I hate that this came so late in the day, but I’ve tried everything I know of to get it back and wanted to give it as much time as I could to try and make the show happen. To the fans that were planning on attending, I owe you one.”
Church did perform the first of his two scheduled concerts in Bloomington the previous night.
His upcoming tour dates also include Murray, Ky., on Friday (May 4) and Nashville on Saturday.
