Hash Brown Potato Casserole

2-pound bag frozen hash brown potatoes
¾ cup melted butter
½ cup chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces sour cream
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese grated fine
2 cups crushed corn flakes
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper

Preheat oven to 350°.

Combine potatoes with ½ cup melted butter, onion, sour cream, cheese, salt, pepper and soup. Spoon into a greased 9×13 casserole dish. Combine corn flakes with ¼ cup melted butter. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes. Serves 10 to 12.
