OFFSTAGE: Carrie Underwood Not Listening to 'Blown Away' Anymore

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Carrie Underwood has heard plenty of her latest album, Blown Away. "In the beginning, when you make the album, you just want to make sure everything's perfect. So I do listen to it quite a bit in the beginning," she told The Morning Show in Australia this week. "And then after that, it's like, 'I don't want to hear myself anymore. It's weird.'" But she also admitted that while there are all kinds of country music out there -- from rock influenced to more contemporary pop songs -- she wants to be in the middle of all that. "I want to make country music that everybody can like," she said. And while she's busy doing just that, here and down under, there's one thing she says she misses most of all. Her family. "I don't get to see my dad too much or go home as much as I used to. That's probably the hardest part. There's so many wonderful things about my life now. Everything is different. My life has done a complete turnabout. The travel, and not getting to see the family, that's kind of the hardest part," she said.
