Gloriana Releases New Album, A Thousand Miles Left Behind

Fan-Voted Elvis Presley Compilation Arrives in Stores

On the heels of their biggest hit yet, country group Gloriana returns with their second album, A Thousand Miles Left Behind, released Tuesday (July 31) on Emblem/Warner Bros. Records. The project features “Kissed You (Good Night),” their first Top 5 single at country radio. That single has been certified gold for 500,000 digital downloads.

A Thousand Miles Left Behind is Gloriana’s first album as a trio and follows their 2010 debut, Wild at Heart. The band previewed some of their new material during their Live @ CMT sessions in the CMT studio.

Meanwhile, I Am an Elvis Fan features 21 classic songs from Elvis Presley. Released through RCA/Legacy, the collection is the first-ever U.S. fan-voted compilation of Presley’s music. Participants were asked to cast online votes for their top three favorite songs by Presley in seven musical genres: ’50s, ’60s, country, movies, love songs, gospel and in concert.

Other new releases include Australian star Kasey Chambers‘ covers album Storybook, Celtic music ensemble Gaelic Storm’s Chicken Boxer, country duo Joey & Rory‘s His and Hers and Americana duo Shovels & Rope’s O Be Joyful.

Bluegrass releases include Ray Edwards’ Portrait of a Bluegrass Songwriter, the Marksmen Quartet’s This Is My Crowd and Paul Williams and the Victory Trio’s Going to Stay in the Old-Time Way. In addition, the folk DVD Pa’s Fiddle: The Music of America features guests Rodney Atkins, Ronnie Milsap, Randy Travis and more.
